Brief Biography

Kevin Duffin received his B.S. degree in Molecular & Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in December 2016. In 2017 he was a staff member at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, working in the laboratory of Prof. Scott K. Silverman on the in vitro selection of deoxyribozymes. After his time in the Silverman lab, Kevin completed the Bioengineering Professional Master's Program at UIUC, and he then joined the M.D. program at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.

Research Interests

My research sought to identify deoxyribozymes that modify natively folded protein substrates.
